Indigene was created in 2016 by Eva and Francesco, a toxicologist and pharmacist by training, who wanted to offer an alternative to conventional cosmetics.
Respect for the body & the environment.
Yes, a cosmetic that respects your body, but also the environment, is possible! In Indigene products, no useless preservatives such as parabens (which are estrogen-like), no irritating products such as sulphates, no synthetic active ingredients, no ingredients from petrochemicals (a very polluting industry), no silicones or microbeads (which are non-biodegradable and harmful to flora and fauna), ... We use as much as possible raw materials from organic farming.
Simple & Transparent
At Indigene, simplicity and transparency are the order of the day: no more mystery ingredients or convoluted names on labels. Thanks to the careful selection of our raw materials, our cosmetics are functional and understandable. For more information, please consult the product sheets. You will find additional explanations on each ingredient used.
Local & Sustainable
These two adjectives are important to us. In order to minimise the ecological impact of our brand, we select, as far as possible, raw materials manufactured in countries bordering Belgium. To reduce waste production, we have opted for minimalist packaging: recycled paper for shampoos and soaps, recyclable glass for oils and scrubs, etc.
