Must-haves for natural travel
Your natural routine that you follow so well can be maintained during your travels and even adapted to them! It's all about being well informed and knowing which products to choose. That's why we're sharing with you our list of must-haves for natural travel, prepared in collaboration with Gilmont Pharmacy.
1. Essential oils and bases
The three essential oils to put in your toiletry bag this summer are true (or officinal) lavender, peppermint and lemon eucalyptus. With this, remember to take shea butter and jojoba oil.
2. Against mosquitoes
In summer, mosquitoes and other insects are on the prowl... To keep them away, lemon eucalyptus essential oil is your best ally. 3 drops on a compress to be placed in your pillowcase or on the soles of your feet and that's it!
In case of a sting or hives (on a small area), treat them with a drop of true lavender essential oil.
3. In case of wounds
Injuries happen quickly when you go on an adventure. For wounds: 1 to 3 drops of true lavender essential oil directly on the cleaned wound and half a hazelnut of shea butter covered with an occlusive bandage.
4. After sun care
After a good day in the sun, opt for a natural after-sun: 1 to 3 drops of true lavender and peppermint essential oil in the equivalent of a tablespoon of jojoba.
You can also use it to relieve a sunburn by massaging the area to be treated.
5. After physical effort
Do you feel pain and/or cramps after physical effort? Put 1 to 3 drops of lavender and lemon eucalyptus essential oil in a tablespoon of jojoba oil on the soles of the feet, in the hollow of the knee, in the lower back.
6. For headaches
In case of migraine or headache (with or without aura), rub a drop of peppermint essential oil behind your ears.
7. To promote rest
In case of irritability, impatience and to help calm down, breathe in a drop of true lavender essential oil.
Remember to wash your hands well after use and avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use essential oils for children under 3 years old. For those between 3 and 8 years old, reduce the dose of essential oil by half (for the same quantity of oil). Do not use for long periods.
