The brand
Kefir - Eau Vertueuse is a fermented drink, without sugar or alcohol, full of virtues for our body.
Adrien and Mary, the co-founders, advocate the artisanal side of the drink: everything is produced by their hands, from A to Z in their workshop in Lasne.
Their flagship product, elderberry kefir, is considered their best seller. It's the most versatile of their kefirs because it goes perfectly with other drinks to create great cocktails!
The story
After 5 years in Bordeaux as winemakers, Adrien and Mary, two great wine fans, return to their native land, the flat country, to start what was their secondary activity there: brewing. In February 2019, all the brand new brewing equipment is transferred to Belgium.
In the course of 2019, pregnant Mary is looking for a cool, sugar-free drink other than sparkling water. She then gets up with a brilliant idea: "Say, the fruit kefir recipe we've been working on for 2 years, we wouldn't launch it for real? We have all the equipment in the brewery.
That's how the Kefir - Eau Vertueuse project was born! Everything they do today is inspired by their past.
Strengths
Kefir - Eau Vertueuse is the only 100% sugar-free kefir in Belgium. It can therefore be kept at room temperature. No need for a fridge, which is good for our planet!
Adrien and Mary are proud to have developed a drink that is complex enough to replace a glass of wine or beer, yet healthy and alcohol-free.

The project wants to grow with a new range of healthy waters. They are also currently working on a beer kefir. A beer that would be fermented with kefir grains. Another first!
Adrien and Mary tell us that their dream would be to have a complex dedicated to fermentation, where wine, beer and kefir would be produced for everyone to enjoy.
